I see it as:

  1. Tell them what you’re going to tell them.
  2. Tell them.
  3. Tell them what you’ve told them.

Much of this comes down to good formatting too — descriptive headers, white space, bullet points, numbered lists, short para, and a general flow of narrative and ideas through the copy.
