Regarding being an expert, there’s some nuance here too. I am also a successful freelance writer, but I would never describe myself as a copy writer.
I don’t understand the art of persuasion or the perfect call to action. I’m much more towards the top of the sales funnel than the bottom (I tend to focus on blog articles and reviews), whereas you’re laser focused on getting them to hit “buy.”
What I’m saying here is that even if you’re “great” at one thing, the more you subdivide it, the more you realize that it’s never that simple.
